About the Company
Job Description
Sungroupe is seeking an experienced and strategic Head, Trade Service to lead their import and export operations in Lagos, Nigeria.
This critical role involves managing the entire import lifecycle, from supplier engagement to final unit delivery, ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory requirements.
You will be responsible for liaising with banks for trade finance instruments and overseeing compliance with key Nigerian regulatory bodies.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the entire import process from supplier to final unit.
- Liaise with banks for Form M and LC applications and issuance.
- Ensure compliance with Nigeria Customs Service, NAFDAC, and SON regulations.
- Manage tariff classifications, HS codes, and import duties.
- Oversee export documentation as per ECOWAS terms.
- Handle breakbulk vessels, vessel chartering, and contract negotiations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, forwarders, and brokers.
- Ensure efficient and compliant international trade operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, or Supply Chain Management.
- 5+ years of experience in import/export or logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian import regulations and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with Nigeria Single Window, Trade Portal, and CBN regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Orion ERP is an advantage).
- Commercial banking experience is an added advantage.
